Does age really matter?

so im an 18 year old girl and well im kinda interested in this guy.. problem is theres an age gap he's quite a bit older than me... hes 25 but hes so nice and friendly and pretty young at heart.. i didnt think much of it at first but when he sed that when he was 18 and partying heaps i was only 12.. well that ade me realise is quite a bit of an age gap.. but what do you guys all think???? would it be okay if i got to know him and maybe dated him??
