The subtitles won't work! why?

i tried to add subtitles in a different language (if it's relevant then hebrew) and i did everything like you're supposed to, i put it in the same file with the same name. but for some reason instead of making it in hebrew it shows wierd signs (��� ���� ���� ���) is there something i should/shouldn't do?
